We live busy and hectic lives, placing ourselves as our last priority. Was this our intention? Did we honestly want to go through life unconsciously? The aim of this outdoor workshop is to restore a balance of our energies - yin and yang. Yang is the energy of doing, much appreciated in today’s fast-paced world. However, it’s impossible to stay creative, full of energy, and live a fulfilled life in a constant “doing” mode. Let’s take control of our wellbeing, slow the time down and nourish our body, mind and soul with creativity and mindful movement. Located in the most spectacular Yorkshire surroundings, we will be immersed within nature, facing the River Aire, just a few metres away from a weir and overlooking fields and wildlife. Your yoga teacher, Janina Lenzin (@janina.sindsive.nadine) is an expert in yin & yang yoga, a Naturopath in Traditional Chinese medicine and a healer from Switzerland. Specialising in awakening feminine energy through feminine embodiment practice, Janina’s holistic approach offers a beautiful opportunity to destress, completely switch off from your daily life and bring more harmony into life. The painting class will involve landscape and floral acrylic painting on canvas. You will learn how to mix colours with intention and apply paint on canvas. The teacher will give you personal guidance and support to make sure you achieve your goals and leave with a beautiful and finished painting. Carefully crafted to provide you with a feast for all senses, this unique creative event will move your mind, body and soul and leave you nourished and inspired. During the retreat you will receive: • Space at your own easel with a view onto the river • Your own canvas • Your own yoga mat • Selection of brushes and acrylic paints • Individual attention of the tutors • Selection of vegetarian and vegan mezze platters, some of which are also gluten-free • As many cups of tea or coffee as you feel the thirst for • A glass of wine to celebrate the weekend • 10% off future events in 2021 Where is the event? The retreat is based in Nina’s studio home. During the event, you will have a chance to see Nina’s work and enquire about her life as a professional artist. We might also venture out to a nearby wild swimming spot for a “midnight” dip. Why is this retreat unique? This is a one-of-a-kind event, taking place at the artist’s own garden, directly overlooking river Aire. During the session, you will be positioned on the deck, within only a few feet away from the river and the weir and the stunning rural landscape behind it. The event is open to 6 participants, with the teacher’s attention focused on your creative journey. It will almost feel like a one-to-one experience. All materials supplied. Event limited to 6 spaces.
